Hattie
I have been photographing Hattie since she was a bump in the belly, and between her, her sister, and her mom....they have been to nearly every single one of my photobooths and events since I picked up a camera. Since we didn't get to do Scare Around the Square together we made other plans for the next day. I knew of a place that would give us a vibe of 'boring town in Indiana that's also a portal to a terrifying world of monsters', and it was the road next to my house where the bridge has been closed for repairs for a couple of months. Since there's been zero traffic, the leaves were never whisked away back into the trees and they covered the road, which makes it feel even more like a forgotten or unwatched place.
On our short walk to this closed bridge, we were planning how to bring out her character and I made the comment about not being able to lift her up in the air with bleeding eyes, an iconic scene from the most recent season of Stranger Things. She corrected me, "I'm Season 2 Max."
