Model Call, Underwater 2023

Underwater

Inclusive Summer ahead

If you have a marginalized body type and want to do underwater with me this summer, please write me. I'm excited to grow my portfolio. I want to make sure everyone can see themselves in my work, regardless of size, age, or anything else. This includes men, I really don't have a lot of masculine work to show, and I would also love to see more people who are shaped like me (see the image above). In all fairness, if someone were to put out a model call for underwater models, I would not see myself on that list, so I'm making it clear right now that I WANT people who look like me to reach out. I will talk openly with you about what it's like to see yourself in photographs and what it's like to trust the water and your body to work together.

It's worth mentioning that I don't mind to be funny with my work (hello, turkey underwater) but I am not going to be funny with the way we look, so, no fat jokes or whale comments please. It's 2023. We treat ourselves differently than that around here. When I've posted model calls like this before, I get comments with people making fun of their bodies and that's just not the vibe over here at XA.

Now is the perfect time to talk and find out how it works. We both have plenty of time to ask questions and prepare. I might only be able to take pictures in Indiana swimming pools a few times a year, but I certainly work on it year round. If you reach out, it does not mean you're obligated to work with me. We will decide together after talking if our goals are in line, and then take it from there. I have plenty of room this year to explore and expand, and it's my goal to show many body types through my work because I truly believe everyone deserves to feel the way water makes my clients feel about themselves. If this post is calling to you, I hope I see you soon!

Enjoy these beautiful pictures of Cody, one of the only men I've been able to work with underwater. I
